Jumpin' Jelly Bean

Every month, Scentsy comes out with a new scent and warmer that they offer at a 10% discount for the entire month. This was my first "scent of the month" and I was pleased at how Jumpin' Jelly Bean smells. It reminds me of a Jolly Rancher. It's strong, but not too strong. It has a pretty, light green color to it and it's the perfect scent to transition from winter to spring.

Launch Party

Well, my home party failed, I still got over $400 in orders online and ended up getting 13 bars,
a travel tin, a Scentsy Buddy, a scent pak, grab tabs and a warmer for $40 after using all of my hostess credits & half priced items.. and a majority of the girls who ordered from the party never even heard of Scentsy before I started selling. It just shows how amazing this company is and how the products truly sell themselves!

Starter Kit

I got my starter kit today! It's everything I wanted and more. I spent about an hour opening all of the testers and smelling them (and of course, Aubrey helped too)


I couldn't believe all the wonderful scents. Even ones that I didn't think I would like, I loved.

My favorites:
Sweetpea & Vanilla - Sweetpea is my signature scent as far as bath & body. It's also my daughter's nickname. This was my favorite scent before I even smelled it, and it remains at the top of my list.
Lucky in Love - If you like the Love Spell scent that Victoria's Secret puts out, THIS is the scent for you.
Inner Peace - Before I joined Scentsy, I made it a mission to find the one thing that was holding me back from completely swearing off regular wick candles.. and that was to find something similar to Island Spa, a scent put out by a popular candle company (you know who I'm talking about). It was my absolute favorite and the thought of not burning it in my home anymore was kinda.. scary. As soon as I opened up the tester to smell this, I was sold. It's not exact, but it does have that hint of lemon that I loved so much about Island Spa, and it's paired with cypress & and a woodsy smell. Pure bliss.
Blueberry Cheesecake - Does this really need an explanation? This was the first bar that I threw in my warmer (which, by the way, I totally didn't care for when I saw it in the catalog.. but loved it when I pulled it out of my starter kit!). My husband liked it too, and he's picky.
Simply Irresistible - Nothing smells better to me than my man fresh out of the shower.. and that is exactly what this reminds me of. I had to order a travel tin to put in the car (because God forbid I pick out anything feminine! ;))

My name is Darby, and I joined Scentsy tonight. I'm a 24 year old mother to a beautiful 19 month old daughter and will be celebrating my 2 year anniversary with my wonderful husband this month. I will be using this blog to share my experience with Scentsy and to give my personal reviews of the products.

Up until a few months ago, I had never even HEARD of Scentsy. I saw it here and there around Facebook and figured it was "just another candle business". I have always loved candles but never really saw a direct candle selling business that didn't completely rip people off.

I have been in the direct sales business since I was 19. I tried a few things and was never really passionate about it and I fully believe that you really need to LOVE something in order to be successful. That's where Scentsy came in.

Scentsy isn't "just another candle business" like I thought it was. They are lead free, soot free, flame free.

Most traditional candles have a lead-based wick and produce soot, which is toxic to you, your pets, and most importantly, your children.

Scentsy candles are wickless and melt perfectly in our electric candle warmers over a 25-watt bulb, giving off the most amazing scent. The wattage is just enough to warm the scent and let it evaporate, but doesn't leave the wax hot enough to burn if spilled.
